Puerto Escondido

Located on the shore of the Pacific Ocean in the state of Oaxaca, Puerto Escondido, founded during the 1930's, was a small port for fishermen and coffee growers until the construction of the Highway 200 in the 60s.

Since then, tourists, surfers and expatriates have begun to enjoy this enchanting place and, over the years, Puerto Escondido developed slowly, keeping its mythical side for many travelers. The local community now has about 50,000 inhabitants, with a good number of expatriates from around the world.

With its wonderful climate, beautiful beaches and enchanting surroundings as well as delicious local and international cuisine, Puerto Escondido is difficult to forget once visited. It is a great place to live, part time or full time.
